Course needs

Please first download the following, if you do not currently have them on your computer.

1. Flash Player - There are small videos for your class, made with Camtasia, that show what I am demonstrating onscreen and an audio explanation.

2. Adobe Acrobat - To read your .pdf handouts.

Both of these products come with a separate, updated player if you prefer to look at your materials on a handheld device such as a video iPod or, potentially, your cell phone (depending on your hardware capabilities. For more information on Flash SDK player for hand held/mobile devices, please see Adobe's site. For more information on Acrobat for mobile devices, see the Adobe page linked in 2. above.

3. We will upload to the web using FTP freeware. I will give instructions, user name, and password information in the second lesson.

4. If you don't have it already, download Mozilla Firefox, the browser. We will also use IE, AOL, Opera, and Netscape as we proceed through the class.

You will also need audio capability. Headphones are best. Your internal speaker may work fine, exterior speakers are better. You need to be able to hear my voice but not create or edit audio.
